Hello, and welcome to our Saks Fourth Grade Math web site. My student's refer to me as Mrs. McFry (pronounced "mac'-fry").
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Agnes Scott College, a Master of Science degree in Elementary Education (K-6) from Jacksonville State University, and endorsements in Middle School Math & Science (4-8). I am an Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative (AMSTI) teacher and trainer, a National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) certified teacher (NBCT), and a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM).
I am happily married and have two wonderful sons. In my spare time I enjoy running - I have competed in several 5k (3.1 miles) races including 5 Woodstock events, a 10k (6.2 miles) run, and my first half marathon (13.1 miles) - the Mercedes Half Marathon in Birmingham on February 22, 2015.
Teaching is my passion and is something to which motherhood introduced me. I teach to make a difference.
