ADDITION

* an addend + an addend = the sum

* to find the sum of two numbers, add them

SUBTRACTION

* a minuend - a subtrahend = the difference

* to find the difference between two numbers, subtract them

MULTIPLICATION

* a factor X a factor = the product

* to find the product of two numbers, multiply them

DIVISION

* a dividend ÷ a divisor = the quotient

* to find the quotient of two numbers, divide them
